Holy Grail Skincare Products: PART 1

holygrail1.jpg

Hey everyone!

Welcome to Part 1 of my holy grail skincare products! I'm going to try and keep this post as concise as possible because I can go on for dayssss when it comes to skincare. I decided to split this post up into 2 parts to prevent this becoming a dissertation-esque post. I'll go through each one in the order that they're displayed in the photo below to make it easier for you to follow.

Tosowoong Enzyme Powder Wash

This Korean powder to foam face wash is like nothing I've used before. It's a white powder - kind of looks like Persil washing powder without the blue bits. To use, all you have to do is pour a small amount into your hands, add a few drops of water and lather it up before massaging it all over your face. It's super gentle on the skin so its perfect for those of you who have sensitive/dry skin types but it still manages to give your pores a deep cleanse and leaves your skin feeling incredibly soft. I've tried other physical exfoliators that are harsher on the skin & only leave my skin feeling tight and not as soft! I like to use this in the morning every 2-3 days and because you only need to use a small amount it will definitely last longer than the average face wash.

Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Eye

Hands down the best eye cream I've used so far. If I don't get my 8 hours of sleep I usually wake up with puffiness & if this becomes regular I start to develop dark circles under my eyes too. This one little tube of eye cream has helped me combat both of these worries! I literally only use the tiniest dot of this and pat this under each eye - a little goes a long way! I actually get excited to use this before bed after a long day because I know I'll wake up with fresh looking eyes the next day. 💁 I've started to use this in the mornings too for that little extra hydration under the eyes. However, if your key concern is dryness, I would recommend something like the Creamy Avocado Eye Cream from Kiehl's instead.

Cure Natural Aqua Gel

Okay, where do I start with Cure! It's the best selling exfoliator in Japan (1 sold every 12 seconds according to stats), it's won awards, its completely natural and effectively exfoliates the skin. I use 1-2 pumps of this and use it on a dry and clean face. Once you rub this into your skin you will see your dead skin cells 'crumble' up (gross but so satisfying). I've heard a few reviews about people claiming that this is just a reaction taking place and isn't exfoliating but after using this regularly for almost 2 years - I definitely disagree! My skin is left visibly brighter and smoother after use and whenever my skin is feeling dull, I remember it's because I've forgotten my weekly Cure! I've recommended this to a few people and they all feel the same! #TeamCure

Blistex Intensive Moisturiser Lip Cream

Okay, I only bought this on the weekend once the temperature levels dipped and a realised that Burt's Bees wasn't going to cut it anymore but, I LOVE it. I used it before bed and woke up with smooth hydrated lips and I didn't find myself having to reapply it so much since. Probably like once a day? It does have a tingly sensation when you apply it and isn't completely clear - its white in the tube but once absorbed after application its clear. If you suffer from dry, chapped lips then definitely check this out! Once again, thank you so much for reading and stay tuned for part 2 to hear my thoughts on the remainder of the products. Please feel free to get in touch with me either through my contact page or in the comments section if you have any questions, or even if know of any skincare products that I should try out!
